H&R South Africa Pty Ltd, is the South African subsidiary of a German petrochemical company. We require a supply chain coordinator for our operation in Durban.

This role is a critical part of the South African business operation. Reporting to the South African Supply Chain Manager the key responsibilities will be:

• Ensure an uninterrupted flow of materials (imported and local), supplies, and services required to operate the organization.
• Manage inventory levels.
• Develop productive working relationships with external constituents (such as vendors and retailers) and internal departments.
• Develop solutions regarding capacity and production planning, resource allocation and facility locations.
• Integrate technology into the supply chain to improve profitability, for example utilizing e-business.
• Assist the customer service function in the sourcing of the transportation and logistics of products to final destination
• Accountable for the input and control of all procurement aspects in the ERP system.

As a specialized company we are looking for somebody who is prepared to engage and contribute to all aspects of the business and participate as part of a team looking to grow and expand throughout Africa. Typically you would have a minimum of 2-5 years Supply Chain Management experience. Whilst a relevant qualification is a benefit more important is that the individual has the requisite drive and focus.
