Reuben joined Oracle in 2006 as a Supply chain Specialist responsible for Supply chain management Solutions entailing, advanced Procurement, inventory optimization, warehouse management, production planning / Scheduling and demand management. A member of SAPICS for 21 years with service as a director on the board. He has taught and continues to teach a variety of SAPICS/APICS courses. He is a chairperson for Tirisano Ka Batho Consulting (TKB). Reuben is certified as a Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) and at a fellow level CFPIM and holds a BA degree in Logistics management, a National Diploma in Organization and Work-study and a Management advanced program certificate from WBS. Reuben is a frequent speaker at SAPICS Conferences and at Marcus Events.
Cobus Rossouw Cobus Rossouw is the Chief Integration Officer of the Integration Services Division of IMPERIAL Logistics. In this capacity, he is a member of the executive management team of IMPERIAL Logistics, the leading logistics and supply chain management company in Southern Africa with revenue exceeding R15bn and profit approaching R1bn per annum.
Cobus obtained engineering and commerce qualifications from the University of Pretoria. With his focus on industrial & systems engineering and business logistics, his career was destined for Supply Chain Management. Cobus also studied towards a MBA at UNISA and qualified as Certified Supply Chain Professional through APICS, the Association for Operations Management in the USA. Cobus is registered as a Professional Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).
After seven years at Louis Heyl and Associates, Cobus joined the Board of Directors of Cadbury South Africa in 1996, where he was responsible for operations planning, procurement and distribution. Cobus also led the implementation of end-to-end enterprise systems and the development of value-based strategies. In 2001 Cobus re-joined the professional services industry and assisted to build Volition to be the largest SCM consulting provider in South Africa. After IMPERIAL acquired a majority stake in Volition in 2008, Cobus become of the Executive Management team of IMPERIAL Logistics.
Cobus is a Director and chairman of the EXCO of SAPICS, the Association for Operations Management of Southern Africa.
Ken, has an Honours degree in Production Engineering from Loughborough University in the UK as well as his CFPIM and CSCP from APICS in the USA. For the last 13 years Ken has run his own business, Kent Outsourcing Services (KOS), focusing on education and consulting in manufacturing, materials and supply chain management. KOS is a member of the PSQ consulting group which is the SAPICS Franchise holder in Cape Town. During this time he has worked with over 120 companies in Southern Africa in many sectors including, automotive, engineering, electronic, electrical, food, agriculture, fishing, clothing, medical and mining, to mention a few. Ken has been a member of SAPICS since 1989 serving on the Cape Town Chapter since then. He has also been a member of the SAPICS national board for many of those years, serving as President for two of them. Ken has regularly presented papers and workshops at SAPICS and other supply chain conferences over the years in South Africa. In addition, he presents SAPICS education courses, seminars and workshops both publicly in Cape Town or in-house to his clients around the country.
Liezl Smith is an Industrial Engineering graduate with a passion for Supply Chain and Operations Management, both from a process and an education point of view. She has worked in many different industries where she saw many different scenarios and gained experience finding optimal supply chain solutions. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of SAPICS, the Association for Operations Management in Southern Africa, and has been furthering her education, having already completed the CPIM, CIRM and CSCP certifications successfully through APICS, as well as the CPF through the IBF. She is currently a specialist consultant and training provider.
Colin was born in Cape Town, and educated in Zimbabwe and England, where he graduated from the University of London with a BSc Engineering. After working on the Zambian Copperbelt as an electrical engineer, he joined Eskom as a project engineer, and was eventually appointed to the Koeberg Nuclear Power Station project. After its completion, he was given the task of assessing the spare parts requirements and optimising the power station's spares inventories. In 1989, he joined Petrel Engineering, a manufacturer and major exporter of marine equipment, as Materials Manager, later becoming Operations Manager, until his retirement in 2009. Since 1994, he has also worked as a consultant on a part-time basis, assisting other companies with ERP and ISO 9000 systems implementations. Colin has presented papers at the SAPICS conferences in 1994, 1995, 1998 and 2004. In 1996, he became the first practitioner in South Africa to be awarded the CFPIM qualification.
Tracy CheethamTracy Cheetham is a past president and life member of SAPICS. Tracy's involvement with APICS as Director of International Services has provided Tracy with significant insight into the global supply chain and operations management profession, experience that she is keen to share with SAPICS. Tracy has an unshakeable commitment to the developing knowledge and skills in the area of operations and supply chain management in Africa.
Terry O'Donoghue
Terry O'Donoghue CSCP retired as a Director of Toyota SA (Pty) Ltd at the end of 2010. Having spent the majority of his career committed to the education and development of his staff Terry is passionate about the development of individuals and believes in the importance of the development of a body of knowledge in the profession. Terry is a Certified Supply Chain Professional and he believes that he can add value by assisting the organisation to continue the valuable work being done in the development of the profession. As a long-time member of SAPICS Terry is enthusiastic that retirement will afford him the opportunity to be involved in SAPICS at a strategic level
