An opportunity for a seasoned Procurement Manager, who will be responsible for looking after the procurement function on a national level for one of the leading manufacturers in South Africa, is available.
The successful candidate will need to implement strategies for continuous improvement within the national procurement. This senior role allows for innovation within the procurement space and this opportunity will give you vast exposure within The Supply Chain industry and allow for extensive future career growth within the business.
Lead the development and implementation of strategic sourcing strategies on a national level, focusing on building Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) models with the aim on decreasing the TCO
Optimize warehousing and import strategies for the specific commodities, with the aim on reducing costs, maintaining quality and improving service delivery
Manage master data optimization, tender processes and supplier relationships
Drive technology improvement looking at systems implementation and e-procurement initiatives that will improve the current procurement processes and procedures
B Com (Supply Chain / Business Management) OR Bachelor qualification in Industrial Engineering
MBA will be an added advantage
Minimum of 7 years’ experience within procurement and 5 years strategic sourcing in an operational environment
Manufacturing / Chemicals or Mining industry experience
