If you search the answer in the web on how to implement DDMRP you are likely to find a video or an article explaining to you the 5 components of DDMRP. Well, that's the answer to the easy part. Everybody gets that. But how do you implement it? And by that, I mean how do you reconcile the entire organisations and the decision making processes at all levels around the disruptions that DDMRP will inevitably generate. That's not easy at all and it requires hard work and strategic planning. That's where some organizations completely fail. They approach a DDMRP transformation as an IT project. They think they can buy their way cheaply out of it by just renting a DDMRP software solution, implement it, train a group of planners and off you go: “We are now a DDMRP company”. No, you aren’t. Far from it. Because this is where the change actually begins. This is where you get to ask yourself: “So, now what?”
