A leading Retailer is looking for a Senior Logistics Engineer to be based at their office in Cape
Town.
• Initiating and implementing new logistics engineering projects across the supply chain for the
group
• Working cross functionally with the Distribution Centre (DC) Operations and Delivery
Team to optimise total logistics cost and delivery lead-time
• Initiating new logistics projects within the logistics network to reduce labour cost and
improve efficiency
• Reducing material handling & packaging cost through engineering projects within the DC
Minimum Qualifications:
• B Eng Industrial Engineering qualification
Minimum Experience:
• High level of proficiency with MS Office packages with proven advanced proficiency in MS
• Excel
• At least 7-10 years’ experience within Supply Chain, Planning and Logistics Engineering field
• Simio Fundamentals Training Certificate - or similar simulation software accreditation
• AutoCAD Fundamentals training certificate - or similar simulation software accreditation.
