The SAPICS Young Professional and Student Conference was established to help University Students and Young Professionals just starting out, to navigate the working world and to have the opportunity to network.

Starting out in the corporate world can be a daunting experience and as much as we believe that the youth leaving University or those just starting out are able to grasp the concept of the big bad working world, the sad truth is they’re not.

Understanding basic corporate protocol, how to market your personal brand, basic business communication to name but a few are all things that are much needed skills to those leaping out into the professional world.

In addition, the reality is that the Supply Chain profession is continually evolving and changing and the knowledge acquired at University is often already out dated by the time a student completes their studies.

Through this event, SAPICS’ aims to provide students with a platform that will provide the following opportunities:

·         Networking with Industry

·         Networking with peers

·         Job and career opportunities

·         Exposure to knowledge sharing from supply chain professionals

·         Opportunity to learn a variety of soft skills

Attendance at the SAPICS Young Professionals and Student conference provides an opportunity for companies to meet and interact with future supply Chain Professionals; this is a great platform to look for potential candidates for internships, bursaries or future employees.

SAPICS are grateful for the support from our network of passionate Supply Chain Professionals who are committed to helping SAPICS build a community of Smart and Savvy Young Professionals.
