Location: Durban

Salary: R55,000.00 – R65,000.00 + Commission

Business Development Manager opportunity within an international trading environment, focused on expanding commercial opportunities across fresh produce categories including fruit, meat and beverages. The role will suit a commercially driven professional with a strong focus on business growth, client development and building long-term relationships.

Responsibilities:

• Drive profitability in line with agreed business targets and financial objectives.
• Identify and develop new market opportunities to support business growth.
• Lead commercial negotiations and successfully secure new business opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships while ensuring a consistently high level of service.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry, market and regulatory requirements.
• Operate within established logistical, financial and commercial controls.

Requirements:

• Matric.
• Valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle.
• 5 - 8 years of experience in a Business Development Manager or similar commercial role.
• Ability and willingness to travel as required.
• Previous experience working with international clients, preferably across SADC and the Indian Ocean Islands.
